writing about the smell of a new, crisp book. I mean come on I know I am not the only one that walks into Barnes and Noble and takes a deep breath, then thinks wow that is one of the best smells in the world. It is that subtle mix of dust, freshly printed paper, and brewing coffee. It just gets your juices going. Then once you pick out that book that you have no idea why you are buying, it just looks fun to read, you get to take it home.
You get settled in your favorite pjs, grab a warm blanket, and make sure you have a drink handy (because once you get comfy who wants to get up). Then you crack the first page and see who the author dedicated their book to this time. My favorite part. Because this person will be memorialized as awesome enough to have a book dedicated to them. As you take in those few short words the smell hits you, the new book smell. I makes you want to bring the book closer and just take in the smell a little more.
Okay, honestly, that sounds weird now that it is on the screen, but I just love that new book smell and book dedications. I am crazy, right?
