Kate Nash - I Hate Seagulls
It’s a mood I’m in. I’m sure it will pass.
1 dead battery, air conditioner malfunctioning, 1 giant screw in tire, and now I lock my keys in the car.
Please tell me who I pissed off so I can make amends.
At twenty years of age I’m still looking for a dream
A war’s already waged for my destiny
But You’ve already won the battle
And You’ve got great plans for me
Though I can’t always see
(Chorus)
‘Cause I got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
But perfection is my enemy
On my own I’m so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see
I’m free to be me
When I was just a girl I thought I had it figured out
My life would turn out right, and I’d make it here somehow
But things don’t always come that easy
And sometimes I would doubt
(Chorus)
And you’re free to be you
Sometimes I believe that I can do anything
Yet other times I think I’ve got nothing good to bring
But You look at my heart and You tell me
That I’ve got all You seek
And it’s easy to believe
Even though
(Chorus)

She is not only creating a genius way of spreading the word of her amazing book review blog, but also giving away a book I would love to have. Please go by and check out her reviews. They help me out in my book choice.
I am in denial about a few things. First, weddings cannot cost this much. I understand the need to be a member of a church to use their facilities, but to then charge those people $1,200.00 to use it for a few hours is crazy. So far no progress with the things to do list. Second, moving across five states cannot be this difficult. Loading the truck took one day, driving back to Texas a day and a half, then unloading will take at least a day. Finally, finding Internet in a world where creations like Avatar are possible cannot be this challenging. I am feeling deprived of the outside world. For those that read this and are sending me comments, I want to responded to all of you individually but currently this is the only forum possible besides Twitter. Thank goodness for friends with iPhone apps. :)
Until I can really write,

For those of you that don’t know…I got engaged on December 20, 2009. I thought I would write a little something about the process and see where this leads. It will include the good and bad days, some will be short and some long, but here they will be for you to read. Email me if you have suggestions, ideas or comments, all are welcomed. (mixes.by.momo@gmail.com)
It has been eleven days since the engagement and I have no clue where to go from here. My amazing Aunt Gail told me to start on TheKnot.com so I did. Now, I am very overwhelmed and I do not know where to begin. So far, I have learned that the following have to be done first and I have no clue about the order.
Things To Do:
1. Insure Ring - Waiting To Get Back To Texas To Do
2. Decide On A Date - I’m Thinking September or October
3. Choose A Venue - Apparently you have to be a member to have it at the pretty churches which now helps me understand why so many people are moving away from religious weddings.
4. Figure Out How Many People Can Come - Okay come on who wants to chopped their life relationships down to under 200 people…IT IS HARD!!!
So, day one has produced more questions than answers. Churches really are uber-exclusive. I know too many people. Oh, and I am taping this ring to my finger because if I lose it well let’s just say there is no recovering from that kind of loss. :)
I will keep you updated, but that is how far I have gotten today.

writing about the smell of a new, crisp book. I mean come on I know I am not the only one that walks into Barnes and Noble and takes a deep breath, then thinks wow that is one of the best smells in the world. It is that subtle mix of dust, freshly printed paper, and brewing coffee. It just gets your juices going. Then once you pick out that book that you have no idea why you are buying, it just looks fun to read, you get to take it home.
You get settled in your favorite pjs, grab a warm blanket, and make sure you have a drink handy (because once you get comfy who wants to get up). Then you crack the first page and see who the author dedicated their book to this time. My favorite part. Because this person will be memorialized as awesome enough to have a book dedicated to them. As you take in those few short words the smell hits you, the new book smell. I makes you want to bring the book closer and just take in the smell a little more.
Okay, honestly, that sounds weird now that it is on the screen, but I just love that new book smell and book dedications. I am crazy, right?
